Port Everglades, Fla., Expansion Project
This year, 2015, the Chief of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers in Washington, D.C.., approved increases in various dimensions of Port Everglades, Florida, widening some areas, lengthening others, and deepening still others, to allow the Port to compete with the gigantic Panamax vessels planned for use in a larger third lane and lock, renovations in the original first two lanes and locks first completed over one hundred years ago, and changes in Lake Gatun, a major source of water for the three lanes and locks.

Funded by two billionaires, SpaceX is a program designed to provide private individuals the experience of a ride into space at an affordable price.
Yesterday, Monday, December 21, 2015, SpaceX successfully achieved all of its objectives, launching its re-tooled Falcon spacecraft into sub space. Its first stage after launch and separation from the second stage returned to earth and its designed landing pad by flipping right side up after separation, slowly descending to its pre-planned spot on a landing pad constructed for that purpose.

All Aboard Florida is a private enterprise venture that would result in an additional 32 bridge openings a day at Jupiter, Stuart, and Fort Lauderdale. If the venture is successful, the 32 addititional bridge closings will dramatically impede the transit of vessels in these cities. At the present time, uncertain bond markets have made the sale of bonds to finance the first double tracking of the Florida East Coast Railway line to Fort Lauderdale.
