As the next posting recounts, the first automated car made by Tesla crashed in May and investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing. Theoretically, the Tesla can operate without steering by the driver. In this particular case, however, the Tesla misread a high undercarriage of semi-trailer makings a turn in front of it it as clear space instead of a dangerous obstruction.
