Florida’s Big Dig

The story of the Intracoastal and other thoughts on water, waterways, land, and ecology

Set in Ireland in 1850, this is the terribly sad story of the drowning of a young man helping a young woman to board a small motorboat already underway.  Pushing the young lady aboard, the young man could not make the boarding himself and drowned after he had been struck by a part of the  stern paddle wheel.
Boarding in Limerick.
